Qualitative Assessment

Sofar, all my reporting was based on toy buyer feedback on POS for the major toy manufacturers – the Klosters Toy Newsletter, Project Media Toys, and Project POS worldwide.  This report shows the assessment of the toy buyers of the companies they deal with on a daily basis – Funko, Hasbro, Jakks, Mattel, and Spin Master.

These were the questions I asked inthe course of July and August 2023: 

• How do you rank their sales people in terms of product knowledge and selling skills
• How do you rank their sales people in terms of product knowledge and selling skills
• How do they view their own management – sales management and corporate.
• Looking at their product range – where do they excel and where do they fail
• How do they handle obsolete products
• How competitive is their product range
• Do they try to oversell you
• How well do they promote their products in the store
• What do you think of the company’s product strategy
• If you had only one or two sentences to assess the company, what would that be?
